A THREE-COLOR SPLASHED GREEN ‘SANDWICH’ GLASS SNUFF BOTTLEThe slightly swirled, opaque olivegreen glass body suffused with fragments of transparent emeraldgreen, opaque and dark cinnabar-red as well as opaque realgar-orange splashes, with several scattered air-bubbles. China, 1730-1780Glass with fragments of other colors rolled into the surface during production were a standard type at the Imperial glassworks at Beijing, which is also frequently referenced to as ‘sandwich’ type, providing an endless variety of color combinations.
