L. 34 cmCette puissante sculpture représente une tête d'aso, sorte d'animal mythique de la mythologie Dayak parfois identifié comme un chien ou un dragon. Motif récurrent de l'iconographie Dayak, il semble essentiellement avoir une fonction protectrice clairement indiquée par sa gueule armée de grandes dents. Le style particulier de cet objet pourrait permettre de l'attribuer plus précisément aux sous groupes Bahau de Kalimantan.Les représentations d'aso seraient strictement associées aux familles de haut rang social.
