A FINE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF VASUDHARA, NEPAL, EARLY MALLA PERIOD, CA. 14th ct., later associated lotus base. Seated in lalitasana on an associated lotus base with her right foot placed on a kalasha, her principle hands showing varadamudra and supporting the kalasha, her other four hands holding jewel, originally a lotus flower, manuscript and ear-of-corn, wearing sari, scarf draped around her shoulders, its streamers encircling the arms with the finials falling on her legs, jewellery set with turquoise beads, her face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, urna, smiling lips, elongated earlobes decorated with circular ear rings, her hair combed in a chignon covered with a crown topped with a half-vajra and secured with a tiara ornamented with a pair of pattras and floating ribbons, with inventory number BN 13 - Wear to gilding, one attribute lost, associate base with old repair
