THREE GILT-COPPER EMBOSSED FIGURES OF A LAMA, Mongolia or Tibet, 18th/early 19th ct., the largest lama seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with both hands showing the dharmacakramudra and holding stems of lotuses, wearing a monastic garb, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows and his shaven head topped with a textile bonnet, resealed; and both smaller lamas seated with legs crossed on a triple cushion decorated with a blanket, all engraved with scrolling tendrils, their right hands in vitarkamudra while the left are resting on their laps, wearing various garments, their faces displaying a serene expression and shaven hairdo, resealed - Property from an old German private collection, bought from Koller in Zurich between 1985 and 1995 - Minor wear, very slightly chipped, attributes partly lost
