TWO PAINTINGS IN THE STYLE OF YUAN JIANG AND ZHANG HONG, China. 1) Style of Yuan Jiang (ca. 1671- after 1746), Riding on a Mule in a Winter Landscape, ca. 19th ct. Hanging scroll, ink and colours on paper. Signed "Painted by Yuan Jiang from Hanshang", two seals: "Yuan Jiang zhi yin" and "Wentao". 2) Style of Zhang Hong (1577- ater 1668), dating 1651, Mountain Landscape with Buffaloes, Qing dynasty. Hanging scroll, ink and colours on paper. Signed "Zhang Hong", one seal: "Jundu". Provenance: Both property from an important South German private collection of Chinese and Japanese paintings, 1) Klefisch, 3 Nov 1985, auction 30, lot 207 - Minor rest. and minor damage due to age. 2) Lempertz, 9 June 1982, auction 590, lot 977 - Rest., very minor damage due to age.
