In the style of Yu Zhiding (1647-after 1709), China, Qing dynasty, Handscroll, 28,9 x 82 cm, ink and colors on silk Signature: "Respectfully painted by Yu Zhiding." One seal of the artist: "Seal of Shenzhai Yu Zhiding" (Shenzhai Yu Zhiding yin)". Frontispize of yellow paper with calligraphy: "Congratulation to High Age" (gong shou), signed: "Gengshi Cai Zibi." Two seals of the calligrapher: "Cai Zibi yin", "Gengshi". The figures' faces are modeled lively with light shading and the second half of the landscape shows influence of Western perspective - Property from a South German industrial collection, assembled between 1960 and 2000 - Yu Zhiding, sobriquet Shenzhai, was a court painter during the Kangxi period (1662-1722) and especially famous for his figure and portrait painting influenced also by Western techniques
