A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS, China, Qianlong mark and period, dated 1770, seated in vajrasana on a cloth draped over the throne with both hands resting on his lap in dhyanamudra, wearing dhoti, scarf across his chest, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes, his hair combed in a chignon secured with a tiara and a flaming mandorla behind, nine-character mark Qianlong and of the period, unsealed - Provenance: Wünsch collection, Mannheim, assembled in China prior 1905, by descent to the present owner - Minor wear, vase lost, crown slightly disformed
