作品居中一只仙鹤立于海水江崖之上，回首仰望空中旭日，海面潮水汹涌，四周四只仙鹤展翅飞翔，拱卫中间主位，顶部祥云缭绕，更有蝙蝠口衔“卍”字符及吉磬等瑞物。仙鹤羽毛纤毫不差，画面色彩丰富，艳丽无双。鹤性清高，为羽族之长，地位仅次于凤，代表人臣之极，被称为“一品鸟”；“潮”与“朝”谐音，故仙鹤立于海潮间岩石，寓意“一品当朝”，官位极高。蝙蝠和“卍”字符都表达了古人的美好愿望。
