Chinese Art. A carved bamboo-root libation cup decorated with archaic motifs and chilongs China, Qing dynasty, 18th century . Modelled after and imitation of the rhinoceros horn libation cup, the body carved in low relief with achaic tao-tie arranged in horizontal bands. It is fitted with a S-scroll handle on a side embellished with five chilongs climbing on it and three further chilongs clambering on the exterior of the vessel.
