The first is a famille verte biscuit 'character' teapot, shaped as a shou-character affixed with a ear-shaped handle and s-shaped spout decorated with imitation rattan wrapping. Each side is decorated with a shaped cartouche enclosing a boy holding a plant spray, and the rest of the teapot is decorated with flower sprays. The flat cover is surmounted by a Buddhist lion finial. The second is a trapdezoidal porcelain teapot decorated with four shaped cartouches each enclosing various flowers between a trellis band at the rim and a diaper band to the foot. The base with a stamped 'THé KIAYUN tong yun' mark.The biscuit teapot: 24.5 cm. high, 17 cm. wide handle to spout, 4.6 cm. deepThe trapezoidal teapot: 13.2 cm. high, 16.5 cm. wide handle to spout, 11.5 cm. deepCondition: The 'character' teapot:The handle has been restuck.There is a bruise to one edge by the spout (approx. 1.5 cm.).There are two fine cracks to either side of the strut leading to the spout.
