The teapot is decorated overall with iron-red carp swimming amongst en grisaille water weeds, amongst flower sprays in famille rose, all below a leafy fine border to the shoulder. The domed cover is similarly decorated and is surmounted by a gilt lotus bud finial.Condition: There is an infilled chip to the rim of the cover (approx. 0.8 cm.)There is a very fine star crack to the interior of the teapot.There are some small frits to the spout.Origin: ChinaPeriod: Qianlong period (1736-1795)Sizes: 13.50 cm.
