|采用优质和阗白玉籽料圆雕而成，玉质洁白，油润致密，留有红皮。两只水鸭贴身并行于莲池之中。双鸭扭头共衔一朵莲花，枝叶舒展，花朵饱满圆润，底部琢刻处两片较大的荷叶，间隙露出鸭爪，刻工精细，质感表现到位。整体用料讲究，造型优雅且富有动感，琢刻工艺精妙。明代称殿试第二、三甲第一名为传胪，至清代则专称二甲第一名为传胪，寓意前程远大。
