高14cm；直径13cm；壁厚1.5cm
说明：笔筒为黄花梨瘿，直壁微束腰，口沿由外向内倾斜，底部亦如口沿向内微倾，失脐。器身瘿结微微突出，手抚可知，又大小错落，繁密处恰似《格古要论》中描述的“满架葡萄”，这是曹昭评定的瘿木花纹的上品。
瘿木亦称影木，系指木质纹理特征，是树木病态增生的结果，并不专指某一种木材。常见瘿木从树种上分有楠木瘿、桦木瘿、榆木瘿、黄金樟瘿、花梨木瘿等。因黄花梨木本身含有杀菌特殊油脂，故很难产生病态，所以黄花梨木的瘤体十分稀少。
