题识：华西日报口占，立冬杂録香宋。|钤印：「香宋长寿」 |赵熙（1867-1948），四川荣县人。字尧生、号香宋。蜀中五老七贤之一，世称“晚清第一词人”。他“工诗，善书，间亦作画。诗篇援笔立就，风调冠绝一时。偶撰戏词，传播妇孺之口”，蜀传有“家有赵翁书，斯人才不俗”之谚。光绪十八年（25岁）高中进士，殿试列二等，选翰林院庶吉士。次年，应保和殿大考，名列一等，授翰林院国史馆编修，转官监察御史。
