题识：道泉写。|钤印：「道泉之玺」 |钟道泉（1902-1969），四川达县人。字本立。以其功底深厚，深得自然之道的中国写意花鸟画著称于世二十世纪20年代考入武昌美专，毕业后入刘海粟创办的上海美专学艺，1926年又随潘天寿、张聿光转入上海新华艺大，其突出的才华深受潘、张二人器重，举荐至吴昌硕门下。其早期作品已深谙昌硕笔意之精髓。曾任武昌艺专教师、西南艺专成都分校部教授、成都南虹艺校国画教师、四川文联国画组组长、四川美术学院讲师。
