The fittings and inlays of the cabinets varies. comparable inlaid work of comparable show cabinets are referred to the Frankfurt Inlay artist Johann Christian Klang. The condition of the cabinet is according to age with some older Restorations, additions to the back wall, Parts of the inner life and feet, as well age-related shrinkage cracks and veneer damages can be found. Laut Dr. Ulrich Leben, Associate Curator of the Furniture Collection Waddesdon Manor, ist es das bislang einzige Beispiel fürals Paar gefertigte Prunkschränke dieser Qualität, der dortige Schrank ist vom Frankfurter Schreiner Schilling hergestellt und in der Tür bezeichnet und datiert 1772. Die Beschläge und Intarsien der Schränke variieren. Höchstähnliche Intarsienarbeiten finden sich an vergleichbaren Prunkschränken und sind auf den in Frankfurt ansässigen Intarsienkünstler Johann Christian Klang zurückzuführen. Der Zustand des Schrankes ist altersentsprechend, einige ältere Restaurationen, Ergänzungen der Rückwand, Teile des Innenlebens und der Füsse, sowie altersbedingte Schwundrisse bzw. Spannungsrisse sind zu finden. Hier haben wir ein museales Belegstück von höchster Qualität der Möbelkunst im 18. Jahrhundert.
