The standing figure of Guanyin is dressed in a voluminous robe. The deity has a serene expression with downcast eyes, the hair tied in a tall chignon under a veil, and her urna inlaid with a silver bead. Her back is inscribed with Shisou. Mr. Ho’s family members have kept the painting for sixty years after he passed away at the young age of 45.
