John Noble Barlow (Rhode Island, UK, 1861 - 1917) Monumental Bucolic Landscape titled "October Morning" 1904. Oil on canvas painting housed in a large gilt frame. Signed lower left. Barlow enrolled at the Acad?mie Julian in Paris, and studied for two years under Jules Joseph Lefebvre, Paul Delance and Benjamin Jean - Joseph Constant. Barlow was a member of the Providence Art Club, and exhibited at the National Academy of Design and the Art Institute of Chicago. He received medals at both the 1899 Paris Salon and the 1900 Paris Exposition.
