The circular basin is decorated with a central pierced flowerhead surrounded by a band of c-shaped apertures and a further band of comma-shaped apertures. The surface is decorated with a narrative scene of a scholar in a pavilion dreaming of three Immortals, surrounded by a diaper band interspersed with figural cartouches.
