The vase is decorated with to large panes enclosing scenes from the Romance of the Western Chamber (Xixiang ji) separated by a circular panel enclosing boys and a leaf shaped panel enclosing the Three Abundances (sanduo). The neck is decorated with scrolls and a keyfret band and the rim is encircled by a further keyfret band. Condition: There is a chip to the rim. There are surface scratches.
