The first is a famille rose teapot decorated to the upper body with a squirrel and grapes design, the body is decorated with a continuous mountainous landscape scene, the cover is similarly decorated. The second is blue and white melon-shaped tea caddy standing on a foot decorated with a moulded scroll band, the body is decorated with a scene from the Romance of the Western Chamber in muted blue tones. Condition: The teapot: the handle has been broken into several sections and restuck; there is a fine crack to the openwork (approx. 0.2 cm.); various chips; wear to the gilding.
