An ale glass with rare engraving c.1760, the slender ogee bowl engraved with two ears of barley amidst small flowers, the reverse with a bird in flight, raised on a double series airtwist stem, 19.4cm. The flowers depicted on this glass appear to be corn cockle (Latin: Agrostemma), which were once a common sight in fields of corn and barley.
