此镜为加拿大制的Summicron-M2/28mm原型版镜头，根据镜上编号显示，此镜比量产的非球面玻璃版本推出的年份早廿年，加上在正式投产的28mm镜头中，加拿大只生产了f/2.8的镜头，而非f/2.0镜头，故此加拿大制的Summicron-M2/28mm镜头可说绝无仅有。而此镜在外观上与量产版本亦略有不同：此镜较长、最小光圈是f/22而非f/16，镜筒前端设计为垂直平面，没有任何条纹；景深尺上的刻度与量产版本亦有所不同。配有镜头后盖及遮光罩(#12536)。 成色A-
