|沈存周，乃清初治锡大家。沈氏活跃于嘉兴春波桥，能诗善书，他雕镂的诗句、姓氏、图章即使当世能手也难以企及。元明以降，朱碧山擅长银差，黄元吉擅制锡壶，张鸣岐以铜炉名之，他们都只长于匠艺，独沉存周诗书雕镂皆名重一时，故其作品常为文人所宝。
