瓷枕长形腹空，中间微束、两端翘起，形似马鞍。瓷枕两侧内凹开孔，用以出气通风，亦是为了防止烧造时发生炸裂。正面四面使用粉彩涂绘两组花鸟纹饰：其中一组绘饰一对鸳鸯在桂树下的莲塘中相互暧昧，桂花飘香，情意浓浓；另一组则绘饰一对相思鸟栖于石榴枝头，石榴硕大饱满，下方几株牡丹争相斗艳，寓意多子多福，富贵平安，亦象征爱情美满。
