Edo period (1615-1868), 19th centuryOf 24-plate construction, the top lacquered grey, inlaid with four gilt-metal chrysanthemum blooms in relief, the tehen kanamono of gilt metal, finely cast and pierced with chrysanthemum blooms and foliage; the underside lacquered red. 40.5cm (16in) diam.
