|朱念祖（1882～1927），号福宝，花塘乡花塘村人，出身书香门弟。|1909年，念祖加入孙中山先生在日本组织的同盟会，投身革命，计划军事。1913年，念祖被选为国会参议院议员。当时，袁世凯窃权垄断，念祖一面与李烈钧、柏文蔚商议举兵抗袁，一面在参院内抨击袁世凯。1917年，张勋复辟。念祖反对最力，欲置念祖于死地，派兵捕杀，念祖几遭不测，逃往上海，方免予难。
