款识：朱茂盛制 |“素三彩”一词首先在清末寂园叟《陶雅》中：“西人以康熙黄、茄、绿三色之瓷品为素三彩”，其中的“三”代表多数，无特定含意。之后，民国初年的许之衡在《饮流斋说瓷》中也提到：“茄、黄、绿三色绘成花纹者谓之素三彩”。此件望子成龙笔筒是由民国瓷塑名家朱茂盛所做，造型天马行空，色泽鲜艳古朴，并取望子成龙之典故寓于文房用具，实在匠心独具，表达了对苦读学子的美好祝愿。
