玉羊以和田白玉籽料雕琢而成，质地温润绵密。玉羊作圆雕俯卧状，身躯肥硕，背臀丰满，双角弯曲盘于头后方两侧。四肢蜷缩在身下，双目凝眸，温顺可人。双角后卷，肌肉质感逼真，神态娴静舒泰。整体造型优雅可亲，雕琢极为精致。中国古代“羊”、“祥”通假。西汉大儒董仲舒有云：“羊，祥也，故吉礼用之。”故羊是我国传统文化中极为重要的象征之一，深得世人所爱。
