扁灯壶为清代常见的壶式，其制作由清初一直延续至晚清。此件作品以朱泥制成，壶胎色红橙，皮壳油光而温润。扁灯式大朱泥壶身筒曲度甚大，制作难度颇高。壶身矮扁，上下匀称，圈把朴实，二弯流线条流畅自然，实难得之逸品。
