款识：“云间胡文明造”三行六字篆书款 |说明：铜胎、圆口、束颈、圆垂腹、高圈足，器身浮雕狮子滚绣球图案。两边置铺首狮首耳。整器皮壳重厚古色古香，底内刻云间胡文明造款。胡文明，明代铸铜工艺名匠，云间人，生卒不详。擅长铸造铜炉，并能按古式制造彝、鼎、尊、卣之类铜器。其作时称“胡炉”或“胡铜”，时誉极高，为世珍重。
