Jeffrey Mine, Quebec, Canada Also known in the gem trade as Hessonite, this is a fine example of the species with its well saturated orange hue and also for exhibiting a classic internal appearance known as "whiskey in soda", a diagnostic and identifying characteristic of this type of garnet. The present example is a cushion-shaped stone which displays a bright orange hue and excellent luster. Weighing approximately 15.35 carats and measuring 15.8 x 13.48 x 10.29mm
