A group of three agate containers


The first a wide quatrelobed bowl with bats, a dragon and lingzhi fungus around the exterior walls carved in raised relief using a russet layer in the gray-blue matrix (rim polished); the second a circular cup with thinly sectioned walls of inverted bell form rising from a square-cut foot ring; the third a cup of leaf form with recessed veins and serrated edges, the loop handle at one end also supporting a loose ring (chipped). 5 1/8in (13cm) length of quatrelobed bowl
