Two red overlay decorated glass snuff bottles


19th century and laterEach decorated with faux lion mask-and-ring handles on the narrow sides; the first applied with orange-red overlay on a yellow ground, carved to one side with a 'Children at Play' theme, the verso displaying archaic vessels holding auspicious fruits and linzhi branches, inscribed; the second carved through a layer of cranberry-red overlay again a 'snowflake' suffused ground with two opposing paired, archaic dragons, each pair forming a stylized shou character.2 1/4 and 2 3/16in (5.7 and 5.6cm) high
