A white jade 'lotus' snuff bottle


19th centuryVery well-hollowed, the compressed spherical bottle standing on a flat foot, with a short, waisted neck, flat lip, identically carved in low relief on each main side with a central lotus blossom surrounded by graceful floral scrolls, and further decorated with acanthus leaves on the narrow sides; the slightly gray-tinged matrix cast with paler patches and natural fissure veins. 2 3/16in (5.6cm) high
