款识：晤歌 |压经炉，亦称押经炉，以其法度严谨、素雅庄重、和谐沉稳而称。这件清代的铜压经炉，以精铜为材，入手敦厚。口沿宽平，其颈略收，腹圆润不腴，下承三乳足，丰满坚挺，颇富张力，肩部置两只简意龙耳。不论细部处理，还是整体把握，均增益有度，恰到好处，包浆沉厚明亮，精光内蕴。底款『晤歌』，字体肥润，深峻规整，独成一格。『晤歌』二字源自《诗·陈风·东门之池》：『彼美淑姬，可与晤歌』，有相对而歌之意。此款文意十足，极为罕见。
