|简介：竹禅（1825-1901），僧，号熹公，俗姓王，自称王子。四川梁平人。初出家于本县报国寺，后居上海龙华寺，以卖画为生，甚有声望。工书画，其水墨人物、山水、竹石自成一派，兼工篆刻，题画诗亦佳。多为禅机佛语，与「扬州八怪」齐名。著有《画家三昧》六卷传世。
