The ivory field with overall design of multi-coloured palmettes, floral sprays and serrated leaves together with meandering floral vine. In light-beige border of bold polychrome palmettes, arabesques and delicate floral vine, between similar triple stripes. Outer plain stripe. This carpet hasfull pile, soft wool quality, very nicely drawn design, lovely pastel appearance. In general this carpet is in vey good condition throughout. Ends with short fringes, secured. Selvages rebound, well done. Great furnishing piece. Attractive. Woven mid 20th. century.
