迦楼罗是古印度神话传说中记载的一种巨型神鸟，在印度教中是三大主神之一的毗湿奴的坐骑，而在佛教中则位列于天龙八部之一。在中国中原地区的佛教寺庙中，迦楼罗常常以观世音化身之一的身份，出现在供奉观音的圆通宝殿中。此迦楼罗神鸟为铜鎏金材质，造型生动。为人面鸟身形，双翅展开，嘴如鹰喙，面呈忿怒形，口微张。肚脐以下是鹰的形象，其尾下垂，散开。此迦楼罗神鸟形象生动，金色华丽，有较高的收藏价值。
