Early TLS, one page, 8 x 10.5, Senate of the State of New York letterhead, October 29, 1912. Letter to the Rev. H. Curtis Ficken at The Parsonage, Reformed Church in Hyde Park, in full: "Your letter has greatly cheered me up, and I do not know how to thank you for all of your kindness and sympathy. I am allowed today to be up for a couple of hours, and now expect to be able at least to get home in time to vote Tuesday next. Mrs. Roosevelt also is progressing well, though, of course, she has had a more serious case and it will be about ten days yet before she can be up. She asks us to join with me in our very kindest regards." In fine condition, with one small stain, and old tape at the ends of the folds on the reverse. A highly desirable letter written while in his first elected political office.
