Ca. 18th century stone seated Thai Buddha in Dvaravati/Mon style. The Buddha is seated in the Dhyana mudrÄ or 'Meditation Position'. The hand gesture that promotes the energy of meditation, deep contemplation and unity with higher energy. The Buddha has a peaceful countenance with downcast introspective eyes and a firm brow. He has a large ushnisha protuberance on top of his head that symbolizing his high level of spiritual development.
