Chinese bronze covered censer, cast in a round globular form with tripod footings protrude from the bottom of the censer raised on three conical legs, two loop handles everted from the gathering lip. Archaistic pattern reliefs ensconce the midsection of the surface simulating the Taotie mask of the seeing eyes. The dome bronze lid decorated with enclosed-work carving of four archaic dragon, radiating toward the simply bud finial. The metal patinated to a warm dark brown tone. Dimensions: 6-3/8" H x 5-1/8" W
