A Berlin cabinet plate dated 1796, the well painted with an oval panel of Apollo in a horse-drawn chariot surrounded by maidens and headed by Cupid in flight with a flaming torch, the cavetto with a narrow band of faux marble, the rim with a gilt foliate design on a pale pink ground, blue sceptre mark, titled ~Apollo~ in black to the underside, 24.2cm.
