A large Meissen figure of a shepherdess mid 18th century, holding a lamb on her left hip, a small posy of flowers in her right hand, raised on a tall scrolled base with puce detailing, blue crossed swords mark to the back of the base, some good restoration, 29.5cm.Provenance: from a private collection in Northamptonshire.Cf. R Rückert, Meissener Porzellan 1710-1810, no. 1006 for a similar example.
