A small Bow candlestick figure of Africa c.1765, modelled as a female blackamoor standing before a recumbent lion and wearing an elephant headdress, her left arm outstretched, raised on a three footed scroll base, the sconce and drip pan picked out in puce and turquoise, an impressed T mark to the underside of the drip pan, a repair to her left arm, 19.7cm.
