André Sauveur in Herstal (Active during the mid-18th century)Cage-style clock with a time and alarm function, circa 1750 Engraved dial, bearing the signature at the bottom, with a numeric band engraved with Roman numerals for the time, and an alarm band at the centre, the frontispiece to the bell is of cut and engraved brass, 4 finely carved feet and 5 carved spindles on the top, large bronze clock for the alarm, chain movement with 2 weights, counterweight, and cord for the alarm. - - The Musée communal d’Herstal retains two parquet pendulums by André Sauveur. -
