Large Butsudan altar Lacquered wood, with curved feet and lotus-patterned copper hinges. The centre of the casement is adorned with a chrysanthemum. It features two panels lacquered in nashiji on the inside, which open to reveal two grates imitating the fusuma, adorned with four hira-makye lacquered panels, which open onto a temple revealing an Amida Buddha and two Shinto divinities. Many red-lacquered hinges depicting chrysanthemums and sculptures of lotuses, cherry trees and birds in high relief.
