A Chinese landscape painted in watercolor and ink on a fan by Zhang Daqian with a dedication to Danlin. The painting depicts a fisherman on a river with pine trees. It has 2 seals and is mounted on a silk backing. Dimensions are: 9 1/2 inches tall X 20 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in good condition. Provenance: From the estate of Huang Yinpu (1900-1986). Huang Yinpu was a famous Chinese scholar and collector. He graduated from Tsinghua University in 1922 and studied in the United Kingdom and the United States. After returning to China in 1927, he served as Professor of Sun Yat-sen University, Manager of Guangzhou Commercial Press, Associate of Business Office in Hong Kong, and Director of Southwest Business Office. He was a good friend of Lu Danlin.來自於黃蔭普家族收藏。黃蔭普，字雨亭，廣東番禺人，著名學者和收藏家。1922年畢業於清華大學，後留學英、美等國。1927年回國後歷任中山大學教授、廣州商務印書館經理、商務駐港辦事處協理、商務西南辦事處主任；1951年任商務香港辦理處總編輯輯、廣東省政協委員、暨南大學校董等職。富於藏書，留學英美期間，目睹我國古籍外流頗多，感慨至深。歸國後，遂留意藏書，曾得張元濟、陳叔通等指導，遂通版本學知識。先後收藏有徐信符等人的部分舊藏，其中多地方文獻。藏書樓稱“憶q江南館”，著名書法家葉恭綽為其書匾額。黃蔭普與上款人陸丹林為至交好友。兩人曾在葉恭綽組建的廣東叢書委員會供職，參加了《廣東叢書》的編輯和出版。 High resolution images can be found at: https://file.ac/y95nq_zxt3Y/
