A Chinese watercolor and ink painting on silk of a white eagle tied to a rock. It is mounted on a silk backing and has wooden dowels. Dimensions are: 23 inches tall X 14 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The backing is broken, the painting is darkened with age and has tears, staining, repairs and loose threads. Provenance: From the estate of Theodore F. Green (1867-1966), 57th Governor of Rhode Island and United States Senator. He was elected as governor in 1932 and served two terms (1933–1937). Green was elected to the United States Senate in1936 and served four terms, retiring in 1961. These items were gifted to him while serving as a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. 來自Theodore F.
