This copy includes the original woodblock of the 'The Church', an illustration by George Cattermole used in The Old Curiosity Shop.Provenance: John Reith, 1st Baron Reith, bookplate. Lord Reith (1889-1971) was the founder of the BBC first as general manager from 1922, and subsequently as its first director general when it became a public corporation in 1927; 'Dickensiana' volume with ownership inscription of Norman Birkett, 1st Baron Birkett.
